About the event

Art is a powerful medium to share solidarity and to offer support. I have been inspired by the mandalas and recent work being done by the Ukrainian @azartgroup and the work of Sati Tamall who is based in Kyiv. I wanted to offer a few hours of tangling together and create a freehand mandala, using the colours of the Ukrainian national flag - sky blue and sunflower yellow.

Please come prepared to draw with me by drawing a circle, around 4" or 10cms in diameter. Paint or colour one half in blue and the other half in yellow - you can allow the colours to slightly merge or overlap, (especially if you're using watercolour). I will be using a fine black pen to draw the mandala and will add some shading with a pencil (2B if you have one) and blending with a tortillon or blending stump. No experience of drawing mandalas or Zentangle is required, just a desire to take a couple of hours together to draw in solidarity and peace for Ukraine.

I ask that a minimum donation of £10 (or equivalent) be made to Annie Taylor's PayPal account which will be transferred

to the National Bank of Ukraine to support their Fundraising for Humanitarian Assistance.

If you wish to donate more than £10,  you can purchase (unlimited!) multiple tickets or donate directly, with the message Ukraine Mandala, to my PayPal account at and I will ensure this money is included in the amount sent.

Thank you.
