Mago - a new tangle

Service Description

In September 2026, I was delighted to be part of a wonderful event held in my old hometown of Alcala la Real in southern Spain. My fellow contributors to this delightful event, accurately named 'Tangled Adventurez' were Chris Titus and Sheila Grube, both very experienced CZTs. We had the most fantastic time and created an itinerary of fun, tangling and inspiration based on the landscape and culture of the area. One of my classes was based on an old scrap of embroidery done in Jaen in the 17th century. I immediately loved it when I found it and deconstructed a part of it. It required me to create a new pattern, which I have called 'Mago' after the owner of the beautiful restored house that we held our event in. Not only was Mago the perfect host but she and her husband, Felix, invited us all for dinner in their beautiful home during our stay in the town. I wanted to honour her and our time by naming my tangle after her. This class is now available for anyone who would like to learn this simple, elegant tangle that in the tile we will create during the class, makes a beautiful mosaic. Suggested materials - please use what you have! A tan/Renaissance tile or a pre-coloured white tile with a gentle watercolour wash. Usual Zentangle kit of 0.1 black Micron, 2B pencil and blender A selection of coloured pencils - any colours you fancy. (You can use watercolour paint if you prefer!) White chalk pencil and White Gelly Roll pen (10) Gold Gelly roll or Sparkly gold pen.
